Respected dignitaries, esteemed colleagues, and dear students,
It is a privilege to address you on the occasion of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti, as we commemorate the life and legacy of one of India’s greatest nation-builders, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s journey is a remarkable testament to the transformative power of education, perseverance, and intellectual courage. Rising above profound social and economic challenges, he not only redefined his own destiny but also reshaped the future of an entire nation.
As the principal architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar laid the foundation of a democratic framework rooted in justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. His vision ensured that India would not merely be a political democracy, but strive toward becoming a social democracy as well.
What makes his legacy enduring is not only his scholarship or statesmanship, but his unwavering commitment to human dignity. He believed that true progress cannot be achieved unless it is inclusive and equitable. His emphasis on constitutional morality, institutional integrity, and social responsibility remains profoundly relevant in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s guiding principle—“Educate, Agitate, Organize”—continues to serve as a strategic framework for constructive social transformation. It calls upon us to pursue knowledge with discipline, advocate change through lawful and ethical means, and work collectively toward common goals.
On this occasion, it is important for us to reflect: how effectively are we upholding the values he stood for? Are we contributing to a society that respects diversity, promotes equal opportunity, and safeguards the rights of every individual?
The true tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar lies not in ceremonial remembrance, but in conscious action. It lies in strengthening institutions, encouraging critical thinking, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey of progress.
Let us reaffirm our commitment to these ideals and strive to build a society that reflects the spirit of justice and equality envisioned by
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
Thank you.
Jai Bhim. Jai Hind.
