Life Skills Education @ HAP International School. Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Life skills may be directed toward personal actions or actions toward others, as well as toward actions to change the surrounding environment to make it conducive to health.” according to World Health Organization (WHO). Bearing the WHO definition in mind, the Basic Life Skills curriculum offers youth the emotional, social and intellectual tools needed to achieve success in life – on a personal level, an interpersonal level, and within their community and work places.
 

HAP International School's Life Skills program focuses on empowering students with essential skills for daily living, independence, and self-sufficiency. Our comprehensive curriculum encompasses: 
 

At HAP we practice life skills through various ways, through different skills mentioned in skill hubs are fundamental things through which we imbibe in students. In our school diary we have mentioned chart of ‘SELF DEPENDENCY’ chart, where child observe and mention their routine. Which is mandatory practice.  

Financial literacy and responsible money management.  
 

TUCK SHOP- IS ONE OF THE UNIQUE PRACTICE INITIATED BY HAP.
 

Through this we promote production of various items like homemade sweets, Handkerchief, jams and sauces from HAP kitchen. Students learn selling of items, estimated quantity of raw materials they come to know, they could easily learn about production cost as well as selling cost, they learn to wait till they sell the product.
 

Organizing different events at HAP.
 

Through Investiture ceremony students get elected and form counsel. Thus, they become part of school management through that they could learn civic sense which will make them LEADER and great CITIZEN.
 

HAPSTERS participated in Model United Nations (MUN) competition and represented different countries.
